Our story

A passion for wine

The House of Henham vineyard is proudly run by the Pimblett family but it’s origins came firmly from Sam – who is essentially the family’s very own Wine Sommelier. Wine is his thing and producing it has become his passion.

It runs in the family

We’re all so excited to be working towards our own range of premium English wines.

“English wine continues to gain international recognition for its quality and character, and we are proud to be part of this exciting movement.”

How it began

Since 2016 we’ve been nurturing the 8,500 vines that make up the House of Henham vineyard. We picked the perfect south-facing spot just off of Sparley Lane with full bodied dry chalky soil and the vines are thriving.

There are no other vineyards that will experience the same climate and growing conditions as the vines in Henham. It is completely unique to it’s climate and terroir.

Small-batch vintage wines

We take an intuitive approach to winemaking, allowing the fruit and vintage to speak for themselves. Every decision from harvest timing to fermentation and ageing is guided by quality and character. Our aim is to create wines with clarity, finesse, and a true sense of origin.

A woman smiling at the camera during a vineyard harvest of grapes. She is wearing a blue jacket, black pants, and green rubber boots, and has a young child in a blue baby carrier on her front. The child is dressed in a beige hat and light-colored clothing. There is a black dog sitting on the grass in front of them and a blue bucket filled with dark grapes. The vineyard has yellow and green leaves, with rows of grapevines supported by metal posts, and the sky is cloudy.

Visit the vineyard

Our wines are made to bring people together and we’re not just talking about enjoying the finished product. We’re grateful to the support of so many locals who come and help with our annual grape harvest. It’s a wonderful occasion where everyone comes together to pick the fruits of a year’s worth of love and labour. We’d love to have you with us for the next harvest…
